Family matters: how our relationships influence our relationship with food.

Food for thought.

This one thing may be impacting your food choices and relationship with food

I edited this contemplative piece from nutritionist Jessica Sepel and agree that the food and fat talk we’re exposed to as children can have a profound influence on our lifelong relationship with food and our bodies. There’s a delicate balance here: it’s unrealistic to think that these comments won’t come up, and as much as we’d like to, we can’t protect our children from everything. Therein lies the challenge – to instill the love and confidence in ourselves, in our own bodies, to influnce little eyes and ears. Much more to come on this topic.
